Why are there no more war songs?

Question by Questionier2000: Why are there no more war songs?
As someone who loves History and usually uses War songs to get me a feeling of the time that existed back then on both sides, I was wondering why do we have no more war songs now-a-days. It seems like the last war to have war songs was WWII, I cannot think of any cold war songs (at least by the United States) and none in the modern era. Why are there no more war songs?
C&W station? what is that?
That is why I said “at least by the United States”

Your not paying attention to the C&W stations- ‘Arlington” **C&W= Country and Western music. Arlington is about the cemetery for military- line about ‘made it to Arlington’ means singer died during military service. Rock stations don’t tend to play it, rappers don’t often get into military service with drug records, etc so don’t know. Some of the gospel singers have a couple tunes about ‘Christian Soldiers’ service coming home, some in coffins. There are some ‘War’ songs from the AntiWar side- but many of them are political Dem supporters blaming Bush for War the Dems voted for so the ‘war songs’ don’t respect the service men and women having ‘Taps’ played over them. .
